Report an issue with a Shrub or Hedge

To ensure your report is completed, please read the following information:

Serious Hazards If you want to report a serious hazard such as blocking sight lines at a road junction you must phone this through to Your Local Services on 0191 2787878.
                       If there are reports of a serious hazard blocking walkways or paths, or causing serious visibility problems on roads we will inspect these in 1 working day. Please note we cannot guarantee that any work would be carried out till we inspect the site.
We Do Aim to inspect requests regarding general shrub maintenance and raise any justified work orders within 6 months.
Nesting Season Please note hedges and shrubs cannot be cut back between February and September as this is Nesting Season.
Programmed Works Any justified works will be carried out on a programmed work schedule which is normally done throughout the autumn and winter months. We cannot give exact dates.
Private Hedges or Shrubs Issues with private hedges or shrubs blocking public footpaths need to be reported to Highways for inspection.
Litter If you want to report litter in a hedge you need to use the Litter form.
Trees If you want to report an issue with a tree you need to use the Tree Form.
