Apply for Assisted Lift

To ensure your application is completed, please read the following information:

Who We offer assisted collections for any resident who may experience genuine difficulties in placing their bin out for collection and who does not have anyone aged 16 or over to assist them.
Timescale It may take up to 4 weeks for your application to be processed and your assisted lift starting.
Rejections If your application is not successful, you will receive a letter from the Council within 7 days. Otherwise, your address will be added to the assisted collection system and you assistance will begin.
Cancellations If you need to cancel the service you can only do this by phone. Please call 0191 2787878 and ask for "Your Local Services"

Location Search

You can begin by entering part of an address or postcode. Matching results will appear in a table. If no results are found, you may restart the search. Certain request types allow you to use your device’s location—this feature is only available within the boundary of Newcastle upon Tyne.

Some requests also support location search by ID, such as smart litter bins or traffic signals. If the ID does not return a result, you can search by the nearest address or location and select it from the map.
