Request removal of an unwanted or broken bin
To ensure your request takes place, please read the following information:
| Businesses and Commercial Premises | This form is for individual domestic residences only. Please visit our Commercial Waste pages for details about collecting broken bins from business customers |
| Bin | If you have a bin or caddy that is broken or not needed, please use this form. Make sure the bin or caddy is empty and accessible to the teams. |
| Downsizing | If you want to exchange your standard size blue or green bin for a smaller, skinny bin you need to speak to us to arrange this. Please call 0191 2787878 and ask for ‘bins’. |
| Timescale | Depending on how busy the service is, it may take up to 10 working days. You will get an approximate removal date when you complete the forms. |
| Broken Bins | Please leave any broken bins or caddies empty, visible and accessible for crews to remove. If possible please put a note on the bin or caddy marking it for removal. |
