Removal of Chargeable Graffiti

To ensure your report is completed, please read the following information:

Maximum working height All requests for work must be no higher than a single story building, up to a maximum height of 2.5 metres (8 foot).
Access to property or location There must be nearby vehicle access to the requested work location, that doesn’t involve access through domestic or commercial premises. Areas must be openly accessible for crews to carry out work and free of obstructions.
                       There is no requirement for anyone to be present while work is being carried out. Work will be carried out within 2 working days of your confirmed request.
Affected surfaces All graffitied surfaces should be in good state of repair before graffiti removal is attempted.
Graffiti is most easily removed from standard brickwork or concrete surfaces. Removal from stonework or sandstone surfaces can leave faint shadows which cannot be removed.
Graffiti can be removed from pebble dashed surfaces but there is a risk of stone chippings being dislodged.  We do not recommend graffiti removal from rendered surfaces.
Graffiti can be removed from untreated wood and untreated metal surfaces.
Graffiti can be removed from tarmac surfaces that are in a good state of repair but there is a risk that some minor damage could occur.
We do not recommend attempting graffiti removal from painted surfaces. The best option is always to repaint the affected area.
Disclaimer I understand that the process of graffiti removal involves the use of high pressure water and chemicals that may result in damage to certain surfaces. I confirm that Newcastle City Council will not be held liable for any loss or damage caused to my property as a result of the process and accept that the surface may not return to its previous state after graffiti removal. There will be no refunds in event of these instances occurring.
Cancellations and Refunds We require at least 24 hours’ notice for any cancellations as this gives time for the crews to be informed. A refund will be processed once the cancellation request is received. We cannot guarantee that a refund would be granted if the cancellation is received with less than 24 hours notice.
