Report a Damaged Tree

To ensure your report is completed, please read the following information:

We do Every request for work on a tree, shrub or hedge that is on council land is considered on its own merits. We aim, where it is required and where resources allow, to inspect trees that are dead, damaged, diseased or causing an obstruction within 28 working days. Please read our tree, shrub and hedge maintenance information page for more details about this process and how we assess where work is needed.
Pavements If you want to report an issue with a pavement (lifted, sunk, broken or cracked) near a tree, please use the Pavements form
Programmed Works All trees will be routinely inspected and any necessary but non-urgent pruning and/or felling will be carried out as part of programmed works.
Emergency Works Reports of urgent and dangerous problems, of a serious hazard blocking walkways or paths, or of issues causing serious visibility problems on roads will be assessed and necessary works carried out within 1 working day. Please call us on 0191 278 7878 so our staff can log the call details and escalate to the relevant manager.
Preparation Please check on this page if we will be able to carry out an inspection. If your report does not fit the criteria, we will not be able to respond.
